Reno Raines is an honest police officer who is framed for murder by his corrupt former partner, Lieutenant Donald "Dutch" Dixon, after Reno testifies against him. With a bounty on his head and pursued by the law, Reno becomes a fugitive, living as a bounty hunter named "Renegade." He rides across the country on his motorcycle, bringing in other criminals, while secretly searching for the evidence that will clear his name and expose Dixon. Aided by Bobby Sixkiller, a Native American bounty hunter who believes in his innocence, and his sister Cheyenne, Reno constantly finds himself in dangerous situations, always hoping that each case will bring him one step closer to clearing his name and finally getting revenge on the man who ruined his life.
